Options for where to take your stuff

Are you wondering where to take all that stuff you want to remove from your home? Sometimes our stuff really does need to be discarded, but other times we simply do not have a use for it anymore and would prefer to find a new home for it. Here are some great local resources for what to do with the stuff you no longer need.

Colchester Community Workshops

They offer many programs for recycling old belongings. Some include:
Resource Plus - recycle old books, bottles and cans, and bag toys
New-to-You Store - for gently used clothing. They divide clothes into three streams - one goes to the retail area, another is sent overseas, and a third they use cottons for rags.
Second Life Used Goods - these are yard sale items
Small Contracts - used jewellery
